Jeremiah Trotter is an American former professional football player who had represented the Philadelphia Eagles (1998-2001, 2004-2006, 2009), the Washington Redskins (2002-2003), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2007), as a linebacker, in the NFL (National Football League – an American football league regarded as the highest professional level of the sport in the world). He had been picked 72nd overall in the 3rd round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. During his NFL career, Jeremiah was included in the ‘Pro Bowl’ (NFL‘s annual ‘All-Star Game’) 4 times (2000, 2001, 2004, 2005). He was also included in the ‘First-Team All-Pro‘ in 2000. All-Pro is an honor bestowed upon professional American football players, usually exclusively limited to the major leagues, that designates the best player at each position during a given season. Jeremiah was inducted into the ‘Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame’ in November 2016.

He was a 3-time all-district honoree and was named the district ‘MVP’ (Most Valuable Player) in his high school senior year.During his time at the Stephen F. Austin State University, he was a ‘Consensus All-SLC‘ selection in 1997. The Southland Conference (SLC) is a collegiate athletic conference that operates in the South Central United States. It participates in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I Football Championship Subdivision (the second-highest level of college football in the United States).Jeremiah was also a ‘Consensus All-American‘ selection in 1997. Such honors are given annually to the best college football players in the United States at their respective positions.For 3 seasons in a row (1999-2001) in the NFL, he led the Philadelphia Eagles in tackles.
